The McDonald’s Gospelfest has been the feature performance by Cissy Houston, The Clark Sisters, the Greater Allen AME Cathedral Mass Choir and Faith Evans, just to name a few.
The Greater Central Jersey Community Choir has won this competition 3 years in a row. And have been able to sing back up for several recording artists.
This choir made up of men and women from many different churches and community throughout central New Jersey has rose to stardom under the musical director David Kirkwood.
“We’re so excited because this year, we decided to go back to the basics of what gospel music is all about and celebrate choirs,” A. Curtis Farrow, Emmy-award winning executive producer and director for the festival, told CBS2’s Andrea Grymes and Diane Macedo.
I tell people all the time, when you go to a black church, you expect to hear a good choir. So I tell everybody, if you want to have a good time that’s full of energy and excitement, you want to be hear the Greater Central Jersey Community Choir.
